DARWIN had been awarded as the Best Management & Entrepreneurship Institute in 2012. The award was handed over by Mr.Shashi Tharoor the erstwhile Minister of State for Human Resource Development at that time. Noteworthy to mention that DARWIN is the first autonomous entrepreneurship institute of the northeastern region. It has started preaching and practicing entrepreneurship with focus on small, micro and mini enterprises when the government was still in the process of waking up to the realization of its HUGE impact on the society and economy.

DARWIN has been propagating, preaching and practicing ENTREPRENEURSHIP since it came into existence in 2004. It has its own venture capital fund and even supports its students with seed capital. The first in-house funding was done in 2007 for a venture in Mizoram. Over the span of time, DARWIN has groomed hundreds of entrepreneurs from across North East, North Bengal and Bihar who are leading their successful ventures in diverse fields.

DARWIN preaches by example. We not only promote, propagate and preach entrepreneurship but also help support entrepreneurial ventures of our students in our own limited way. The in-house entrepreneurial fund bank was established in 2007 and ever since we have supported numerous such small ventures from time to time.
